05/27/08 Meditation’s fodder

Preemptive strike doctrine is first degree murder.
Bush initiated a preemptive strike into Iraq.
“Bush is guilty of first degree murder.” (self quote as stated in traffic court. “The bus has to stop for the sign.”)
Catharsis : a technique used to relieve tension and anxiety by bringing repressed material to consciousness. The result of this process is abreaction.
Abreaction : the release of tension resulting from conflict or from repressed emotion through conscious examination and acting out in imagination, words or action, the situation causing the conflict.
President Bush has declared war on terrorism. His declaration enabled the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. The conflict in Iraq resulted in the death of a Transylvanian soldier.
Vice President Cheney has said “we have to work the dark side, if you will, and you have to spend time in the shadows.”

As an American I have a responsibility to listen to the statements from our leadership. I have a part to play in dealing with the ignorance that generates acts of terror, whether it be upon buildings, as happened on 9.11 or upon our planet’s polar ice caps. For the record, I have been married to an ordained minister for almost 20 years. I believe that qualifies as an adequate amount of time “in the shadows” of judaism and it’s bastard sibling, christianity. The Old and New testaments have no business in any courtroom and I am making it an issue to be dealt with by doing physical harm to the actual pages that allow the shadows of ignorance to play from the pedestal our local court provides.
The path ahead may require professional assistance, folk like the ACLU. There is no personal income on which to draw upon and I should be allowed to cast my need upon the waters. The interruption of that right is an outright failure of due process.
