02.28.08 Faith As A Psychological Steroid

I’m sure this is not the first approach to such a perspective and beg pardon from those who have already been here and done that. Now it is my turn ( perhaps with a little help from Hermes).

For some it will be difficult to think of “Jesus” as a drug or even as an “imaginary friend.” “Help, I’ve fallen and cannot get up.” “Sure you can, you can do ‘all things in christ jesus,’ he dwells in you 24/7. All you have to do is try!” This kind of dialogue happens all the time within the minds of church members who begin to memorize scripture. They take something imaginary, like a ‘christ’ idol, and give it a skin face with words (which many claim to be the living words of God almighty) “to do battle with the devil and all those pagans that have turned this world into a living hell.” (A gnofleas ‘CBN’ paraphrase. )

Faith is an intellectual exercise. The imaginary blood of jesus has nothing to do with an actual “God” or a covenant from “God.” Seeing a rainbow or even two at the same time is just a coincidence, but it gives the story a hook when children are taught to ‘major in miracles.’ Disclaimer : No one should spend time in a curriculum that offers the bible in a course other than one that focuses on how to use words as hyperbole for the game of salesmanship. Spiritually speaking, it’s pure hokum. It’s got no balls. Jesus had some though. That’s why he was crucified. He told them they were all ‘liars, thugs and thieves.’ You can imagine that his hyperbole rubbed them (the pharisees’ and sadducees’ ) the wrong way. (“We don’t have fleas!”) Kind of like my writing now, were there to be anyone actually reading it. Lol Clergy that enjoyed being called ‘bastard jews’ or ‘denominational whores of primitive fundamentalism’ would also have to be more than a few cards short of a full deck. I like to imagine some of them foaming at the mouth. The thought of “God” actually blessing a woman for making a tough choice and having an abortion, turns them into a rabid frenzy.

Children might actually benefit from an imaginary friend, helping them overcome the normal anxieties that all children must face. The problem is magnified when the children become pseudo adults and still walk with make believe. Maybe that’s why some have to use crystal meth on Sunday mornings. I suspect that more use caffeine or Pepsi Max. (With Ginseng?) Training folk to use pretend as a coping skill against an imaginary devil or adversary in the real world falls short of real parenting with tough love. Tough love says ‘sh*t happens.’ and it’s not the devil’s fault because there is no devil. Tough love says that genesis is fiction and those who believe in a real Adam and Eve are, for lack of a more conducive term, ‘redneck dumb.’

‘Tough love’ speaks back and calls Dr. James Dobson and his not so imaginary friends (’the body of christ,’ as christ is imaginary) that their theology is hokum for a dark age and that we Americans prefer to walk in the light of logic and reason. Tough loves says that our President has committed murder and is guilty of treason. Tough love does not see America abiding under a rainbow with McCain colored glasses. Tough love sees ‘truth’ and the GOP’s subterfuge as it really is, spun and controlled by zionism’s military industrial complex, which includes all entities that use the word ‘al Qaeda.’ (CIA, “NCIS,” etc.)

02.26.08  Overlooking The Obvious?

I know it sounds like I spend way ‘too much time’ beating dead foreskin, but please remember it takes ‘time’ to undo the damage generated by the perpetual ignorance of judaism.

Here’s one for church scholars to ponder. (Fruitland Bible graduates included. lol)

Granddaughter :  GrandPa, if the story about Adam and Eve being booted out of the garden was true, why wasn’t Adam circumcised before their departure?  Orthodoxy says that ‘God is unchanging’ and this appears to be a discrepancy in the very nature of “God.” It’s almost as if something new materialized ‘under the sun*’ and the “Lord God” decided to reconcile his angst, and forgive the fictitious disobedience in the garden by giving Abram a vision that left him with a foreskin fetish.

GrandPa : Yes,  Abram became Abraham because “God” decided to give the species “homo Sapiens” a second chance. Isn’t it a little funny that “God” named them “homo Sapiens?”

Actually this obvious inconsistency* is overlooked. If “God” didn’t want us to have foreskin “God” would have not placed it on Adam’s penis in the first place, if the story about a genesis creation were true. If it, the tale, was true, then the act of circumcision would be a new age add on.  It’s all circular nonsense meant to work only if those who are told what to believe do not question what they are told (to believe).  Adam and Eve were not real and neither is the need for anyone’s ‘sins’ to be ‘covered by the blood’ of a goat or a man born from a virgin in the window of a supernova in the heavens. It’s hyperbole for children and the children never grew up to realize it was all fiction. Now we have grown men and women, some serving within the judiciaries who actually believe that there is a devil and that Jesus rose from the dead.  It’s sad.

Adam and Eve were not real. Lucifer didn’t fall from heaven and Jesus didn’t rise to dwell in a city with streets of gold. Manufactured hyperbole/guilt is what makes the people cry. There’s not a word of real truth anywhere in the gospel of ‘atonement.’ Just a placebo.  Placebo’s sometimes work because of the mystery of belief.  Sometimes they do not.  The anti christ has a roll and that roll is one of education, pertaining to the ignorance of atonement/christ doctrine. If someone else can do it better than my own effort, I welcome their input with open arms. I will continue to remain a minstrel for the anti christ collective. It gives my life some symmetry. Is it also catharsis for global insanity? I think so and consider it a privilege to add my two cents to the rest of the collective. Who knows, it might actually make a difference. One thing is for certain, silence won’t.

Granddaughter : GrandPa, christians claim to know the truth and say it sets them ‘free.’ How does that really square with our reality?

GrandPa : The truth is that christians are enslaved with fake truth. Fake truth hinders their objective, which they often claim to be love towards one another. Doctrine is a chain. Dogma is a chain. Ritual is a chain. Religious tradition created with false truth does not allow any human being to worship “God” in the spirit of truth. Christians worship “God” with an illusion of truth. Atonement is a leftover, recycled chain from judaism’s 1.0. “God” has never needed volcanoes. Only primitive theology and primitive theologians require it’s or their usage. False knowledge produces bondage instead of freedom. There is no judgment day, where every soul stands before a great ‘white’ throne. They made it all up. The fiction has been reinforced with doctrine such as “inerrancy,” but it’s still bullshit. The word of “God” is not the word of “God.” Those who think so have been snookered.

So many lives have wasted themselves studying primitive nonsense called truth. The societal placebo has reached it’s breaking point. Can you see the writing on the wall? Do you choose to ignore it? I do not. Freeing Palestine also allows you to free yourselves of the ignorance you have swallowed, hook, line and sinker. Christianity is a lie.

Any American who says they are proud to be ‘an American,’ while participating as a  supporting member of the GOP,  is  trafficking in the delusion of intellectual honesty. GrandPa : Ministers of ‘the Gospel’ might say that “God can do all things” but is often hindered from the ability to ‘do all things,’ all the time, because of the devil, and that for ‘a time,’ the devil has power.

Granddaughter : How does the devil manifest his power and prevent the children, et al., from understanding that evolution was the tool which was used to create the species homo Sapiens, and not Adam’s rib?

GrandPa :  He, the devil, does so with a very clever doctrine. It’s called “inerrancy!”

Granddaughter :  So ministers use doctrine from the devil to dumb down their congregations?

GrandPa :  Not exactly. There is no devil. I think the doctrine came from the Pope.
